These natural wood round coasters are engraved with the Celtic trinity knot design. The Trinity knot design first appears in the historical record around 400AD when Coptic missionaries traveled to Ireland and proceeded to produce the highly esteemed Illuminated manuscripts. It symbolizes the three-fold Godhead - the three points represent Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and the interwoven circle depicts the unity between the three.
