Trying to set the record for the world's largest yo-yo can be an up-and-down business - just ask Ohio resident Beth Johnson, who brought her 15-foot-wide, 7,300-pound yo-yo to Jacksonville for the attempt Monday.
But if you don't succeed, yo-yo again, she said.
Two hours of tests at Jacksonville Crane and Machinery on Highway Avenue showed that the release mechanism wasn't going to work.
"It's got to be able to return or it's just a waste of time," husband Tony Johnson told her. "We want to make sure we can get 80 or 90 feet from that drop."
